Championship Legacy
2023-24 was another strong year for the Eagles, who continue to shine on the field, court, and diamond! The Eagles boast several programs that have developed into nationally ranked powerhouses.
Five OKWU teams won KCAC Championships and earned automatic bids to the NAIA National Championships.
Men’s soccer (17-2-5) won the KCAC regular season and tournament championships. At the NAIA Tournament, the Eagles advanced all the way to the semifinals before their season came to an end.
Women’s soccer (16-3-3) won the KCAC regular season and tournament championships for the 6th straight year. The Lady Eagles made it as far as the NAIA Opening Rounds before their season ended.
OKWU Volleyball (28-6) won the KCAC regular season and tournament championships. At the NAIA Tournament, the Lady Eagles advanced to the final site for the first time in program history.
Men’s basketball (31-3) claimed the KCAC regular season and tournament titles and advanced to Kansas City for the NAIA Tournament.
Personal Bests
Nine Eagles earned NAIA All-American honors, including athletes from men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s basketball, and baseball.
45 Eagles earned spots on the All-KCAC teams for their respective sports.
Stevan Cvetanovic (men’s soccer) was named NAIA Player of the Year and set the All-Time Goals Scored record for his career (139).
OKWU Volleyball coach Tracie Gillette surpassed the 300-win mark during the season and was named KCAC Coach of the Year.
Donte Lopez (wrestling) earned a spot at NAIA Wrestling Nationals, his second-straight appearance.
