Edwina Roller

During my 28-year public school teaching career, I worked as an adjunct instructor for OKWU and NSU. When I retired, I couldn’t stay away from education. First at the Tulsa office, then the Bartlesville campus, I worked in the Graduate and Professional Studies Department. In April of 2022, I moved to Admissions. I may not be teaching in front of a class, but I still get to use some of my teacher skills to organize, coordinate, and encourage people.

The best part about my job is…

The people. I interact with students and parents when they visit the campus. I love to share about OKWU and Bartlesville. It’s not just about the people I meet, but also the amazing people I work with. They make coming to work not seem like work at all.

My favorite place to hang out on campus is…

La Quinta Mansion. I don’t get to spend a lot of time there, but when I’m there I love to read all the information on display.  (I may be a bit of a history nerd.) I’m always finding something “new” strolling through the hallways or rooms. The architecture inside and out is amazing!

OKWU is special because…

You can see and experience Jesus here. You will also have opportunities to be the hands and heart of Jesus while you’re here.

I’d tell a prospective OKWU student…

To pray…about your purpose, about your talents, and about how God wants to use you to build his Kingdom. Pray about where you can be equipped to do what God wants you to do. Visit OKWU, talk to the students and faculty. If OKWU is where God wants you to be, you’ll know…doors will open.  If it’s not a good fit for you, keep praying and go where God leads.

When I’m not working, I like to…

Spend time with my family and friends, travel, craft, and read. I’m a part of a Wesleyan church plant known as Pathway Church. I enjoy being the prayer lead and part of the hospitality team and local missions team.
