Cytina Taylor

My name is Cytina Taylor and I live in Bartlesville, OK. I have been married for 32 years, and have two children, a son-in-law and a grandchild. I have always been passionate about ministry in one way or another, which is what originally drew me to OKWU. I was an HR Administrator at the Voice of the Martyrs for almost ten years before deciding to make a change. I joined the university in the financial aid office for a year and then transitioned into the Graduate & Professional Studies department as an Admissions Counselor. Just recently, I made the decision to accept a position in our Building & Grounds Department!

The best part about my job is…

I have to say in each position I have held at OKWU, my favorite part is being able to talk about Jesus openly. Next would be that with each position I have held at OKWU, I have been able to help people. This includes our students, staff, & faculty.

OKWU is special because…

I love that we are a Christian university, and we express that all over our campus. Because we are smaller, it feels like family. I think this allows us to build relationships with our students as well as the staff and faculty.

I’d tell a prospective student…

Don’t panic! We are here to help you each step of the way. We want to set you up for success. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you are struggling, reach out to us and let us try to help you!

When I’m not working, I like to…

Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do. I also sing on our worship team at church; I enjoy watching a good movie, watching the Steelers play football, and going to the lake.
