Professional Background

I hold a BA in Business from OKWU and a Master in Library Sciences from the University of Oklahoma.  I’ve had the privilege of working at OKWU for 25 years and currently serve as the Technical Services Manager in the library.  In this role, I manage the behind-the-scenes operations, including purchasing and processing books and other materials to prepare them for the shelves.  Most importantly, I’m here to support students with their research needs and help them succeed in their academic journey.

How does your work contribute to OKWU’s mission?

The mission of OKWU is to live a Christ-centered life and to educate students holistically.  By providing students with strong academic resources, we support their grown – both intellectually and spiritually – equipping them to become faithful followers of Chris and influential leaders in the world.

What makes OKWU a special place to you?

What makes OKWU special to me is the way faith is woven into every part of the experience – not just in chapel or Bible classes, but in everyday conversations, relationships and even academics.  It’s a place where I can grow not only in knowledge but in my relationship with Christ.

What advice would you give to a prospective student?

You’re not just going to learn facts and figures – you’re stepping into a season where God will grow you spiritually, emotionally and intellectually.  Let yourself be stretched.  Ask big questions.  Be willing to go deeper in your faith and your thinking.
