Cedric Muteshi

Cedric Muteshi has coached at OKWU since 2013. He became the head Track and Field coach in 2018, and in 2021 he was named the head coach for OKWU’s cross country programs. In addition, he serves as an assistant for the men’s soccer team.

Muteshi was born in Nairobi, Kenya. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He was also a four-year soccer player at UC and served two years as team captain. He was honored as the Mid-South Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year after his senior season. Muteshi was also given the H.N. and Frances Berger Award at UC’s commencement in 2013 for his leadership and service to the UC community.

Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Muteshi came to Oklahoma Wesleyan and earned a Master’s in Business Administration degree and a Master’s of Science in Strategic Leadership.

Muteshi and his wife, Jennifer Lusuli, have three children: son Carnell Lusuli and daughters Abigail and Ariana Lusuli.

Muteshi also serves as the Director of Presidential Leadership Award at OKWU.
