At Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OKWU), our commitment to celebrating life and supporting women, babies, and families remains unwavering. As part of this mission, we are excited to announce that we are gifting our mobile ultrasound unit to The Cottage, a trusted partner dedicated to serving women with life-giving care.
This transition reflects a positive step forward in stewarding resources while expanding opportunities for impact. With recent updates to OKWU’s nursing program and faculty credentials, it became clear that The Cottage is best positioned to maximize the use of the mobile unit and continue its vital work in the community.
Blessing The Cottage with this life-saving resource enables them to fully utilize the unit and serve even more women and children. Our partnership remains strong, and we will continue to collaborate through educational field experiences for our nursing students, ensuring that future healthcare professionals are equipped to provide compassionate, Christ-centered care.
“We are grateful for the years this mobile unit has helped women see the beauty of life,” said Dr. Rosa Ketchum, Associate Dean of Nursing. “By gifting it to The Cottage, we are ensuring that its impact continues and grows. OKWU remains deeply committed to life, and we are excited to see how God will use this resource to bless families in the years to come.”
OKWU continues to champion the sanctity of life through education, service, and community partnerships. This transition is not an ending—it’s an expansion of impact, continuing to serve more women while our students gain valuable hands-on experience in healthcare.
We are honored to support The Cottage’s mission and look forward to seeing lives changed through this partnership. Learn more about OKWU’s mission to develop and send Servant leaders.
