Oklahoma Wesleyan is grieving this week as we mourn the loss of Patricia “Trish” Leggett, Dean of Faculty Relations and Development.
“Trish loved OKWU and loved our mission,” said OKWU President, Dr. Everett Piper. “She is one of few who would routinely beat me to the punch in reciting the ‘4Ps.’ Trish truly loved Christ, Scripture, Truth and Wisdom and she’s now celebrating them to perfection in eternity.”
Trish joined the OKWU team in March of 2007. She held many roles over her years at OKWU, but quickly became a steadfast leader in our Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS) department. Dean Leggett was known by many as a mentor, prayer warrior, and friend. Her presence will be missed.
“Trish was a colleague, mentor, and friend to so many of us,” shared Vice President of Enrollment and AGS, Samantha Peterson. “Her laugh was loud and joyful, and her favorite three words were ‘What a Blessing.’ She loved the Lord with all her heart. Although my heart is sad, I praise God that she is now healed on the other side of eternity. Heaven gained a saint.”
