With new national recognitions, the addition of an executive-in-residence, and a prestigious corporate award, it has been an exciting few months for the Chesapeake Energy School of Business (CESB) at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

This month, the CESB was honored by Phillips 66 with the P66 High Performing Organization award. Presented at the Phillips 66 US Marketing Star Awards, the award is a recognition of the success of the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Co-Op program created with P66. The Co-Op program is designed to select one outstanding student from the School of Business to gain work experience for six months with Phillips 66, also providing opportunities for the company to evaluate the students as potential new hires following graduation. Currently, the overwhelming majority of these students have been offered full time positions at Phillips 66.

Keath Storm editThe CESB also recently welcomed a new executive-in-residence, Keath Storm. Keath is Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Anspire Professional Consulting, and his life purpose is to connect, coach and challenge individuals to reach their maximum potential. Keath is a foster parent, Certified Marriage Coach, and a John Maxwell Team speaker, trainer and coach. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Hillsdale College and a Master’s Degree in Human Relations from The University of Oklahoma. Keath has extensive experience in developing people and organizations, and was a Partner & Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development at LinkAmerica Corporation as well as Senior Manager of Human Resources at Hilti North America.

Oklahoma Wesleyan was also ranked this spring as one of the top 50 Christian schools in the nation with best-valued MBA degrees. The rankings, from Christian Universities Online, are decided based on number of MBA concentrations, tuition costs, and accreditation factors. The full list of schools can be found here.

The Chesapeake Energy School of Business is consistently working to best prepare students for the increasingly competitive business world. These recent developments and awards are truly an honor, and the School of Business at OKWU looks forward to continuing this pattern of excellence.
