Function of Job

The System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of the Jenzabar One system. This position plays a crucial role in providing end-user support, training, and implementing new features and processes within the system. This position will assist and collaborate with the Director of Information Technology and other module managers to implement new features and processes within the system.

  • Systems thinker with experience in Higher Education
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL server
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and triage technical issues
  • Ability to create and maintain technical and user-facing documentation
  • Ability to collaborate well with other departments
  • Ability to translate business processes into easy-to-follow workflows
  • Ability to take existing workflows and find opportunities for optimization and automation
  • SQL-based report writing

Supervision Given/Received

Work is generally supervised by the Director of Information Technology.

 

Examples of work performed

  • Performs administrative tasks for the Student Information System, CRM, and ERP. Including routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Consults with end-users to create and/or optimize online business forms and business process workflows.
  • Performs general technical support for staff, faculty, and students.
  • Maintain system documentation, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide meaningful feedback and recommendations on how to position the University and its systems for growth
  • Support the Director of Information Technology in identifying opportunities to position the department to meet its, and the University’s, strategic goals.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
