JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you live and breathe design and storytelling? The Creative Impact team is at the heart of OKWU, shaping culture through design and compelling narratives. If creating, curating, and collaborating is your passion, keep reading!

We’re looking for a talented, detail-oriented designer who can transform concepts into dynamic visual communications across print and digital platforms. You’ll craft visually impactful branded communications and contribute to the copywriting process, ensuring the words and visuals work together to deliver a clear and engaging message.

Help us elevate OKWU’s brand through creative and bold design, compelling social media, engaging video content, and fresh approaches that redefine Christian higher education.

ESSENTIALS
  • Graphic Designer: Lead the charge in visually compelling, on-brand designs across print, digital, and video platforms. Eager to grow, you’re open to feedback and always refining your craft.
  • Team Collaborator: Build positive team synergy. You can take the lead or follow, all while maintaining high standards of communication and work ethic.
  • Project Coordinator: Manage multiple projects efficiently. Organize content with clients and teammates, ensuring smooth progress from concept to completion.
  • Content Curator: Capture, edit, and organize media in a digital library. Mentor student work-study participants and guide them in media projects. 
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
  • Expert in Mac OS & Adobe Creative Suite: Skilled in design, video, and audio editing software.
  • Tech-savvy: Quickly learns new tools and is proficient with WordPress, CoSchedule, Canva, MailChimp, and project management tools (ClickUp, MS Outlook, and Teams).
  • Creative Problem Solver: Strong expertise in branding, typography, and design principles.
  • Highly Organized: Manages time effectively and excels at multitasking.
  • Strong Communicator: Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent & Decisive: Capable of working autonomously and making informed decisions.
  • Collaborative: A true team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
CHARACTER
  • Professes Jesus Christ as Savior and commits to personal spiritual growth
  • Models personal integrity, and ethical standards, and represents OKWU’s mission
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in the field of design and project coordination
  • Professional portfolio of creative and design work.
