The academic world has always been in my blood. My mom was part of Barnsdall Public Schools for 16 years, as well as many of my family members who are currently there. I have always had a servant heart. I was part of the real estate world for several years as an assistant, licensed realtor, and licensed abstractor until November 2023. Being drawn back to the academic world has been a huge blessing from God to be able to help individuals see that their potential is limitless, and their dreams are within reach. Just simply by believing in themselves and taking action.

The best part about my job is….

The best thing about my job is connecting with each community and atmosphere of people. Helping others see the beauty and potential of change. I always have said that the only thing consistent in my life has been change. Change can be scary, but what’s scarier is allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving, and progressing. I love that I can help others grow, evolve, and progress.

 OKWU is special because…

Roy Bennett describes it best: “Surround yourself with positive people who believe in your dreams, encourage your ideas, support your ambitions, and bring out the best in you.”

God’s presence is felt. OKWU to me is everything you’ve been missing in life. Anything from support and community to simply just kindness and love. OKWU is home.

I’d tell someone thinking about OKWU…

Pray for guidance in what that first step should look like, it could change your life. Take the action step, no matter how small or big. When you commit yourself to the first step, it’s the first step to success behind the “why” you want to do it. Your “why” matters, and we’re here to help you accomplish it.

When I’m not working, I like to…

Anything crafty, and taking new adventures. My husband and I love the outdoors and travel a lot between off-roading trips in the Jeep with my in-laws, hiking/camping trips with friends, vacations that take us across the U.S., spending time on my parent’s farm, or taking a cruise on the motorcycle that leads to finding a new “hole in the wall” oasis.
