Professional Background
I have worked at Oklahoma Wesleyan University for almost thirteen years.  Throughout my years of working here, I’ve had the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting.  I am currently working within the Business Affairs Department, serving as the cashier, while also managing the university mailroom and Doc Lacy’s Coffee Shop.

What makes OKWU a special place to you?
OKWU has been my home since I was 22 years old.  I have grown here, not only mentally, but also in developing my strengths, abilities and potential.  OKWU has pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to prove to myself that I am capable of many things.

What advice would you give to a prospective student?
Some advice I would give to a prospective student is to allow yourself to step outside of your comfort zone.  You are never going to know your true potential until you do.  Never be afraid to ask questions or for help, that is how you gain knowledge.  Lastly, I would advise students to get involved in the different activities around campus; that is how you make memories and friends that will forever be part of your life.
