Payment Options
Most students use financial aid (grants, loans, scholarships) and/or a payment plan to cover their costs. As you and your family make decisions regarding your educational costs, we want to provide you with some options on how to do so.
Charges are assessed to a student’s account on a term-by-term basis. Each term, students are expected to have their account paid in full or the payment plan set up by August 10 for Fall 2024 and January 10 for Spring 2025. Payments are due by the 15th of each following month.
We are always here to help and answer questions. Please contact your Student Financial Services team via the following methods:
- Email: StudentAccounts@okwu.edu
- Phone or text: 918.335.6282
Payment Plan
The monthly, automatic payment plan is offered through an outside company via the student’s ACI Payment Portal. This option will take your balance for the current semester and divide it by five (5) monthly payments (August-December for Fall and January-May for Spring). There is a set-up fee of $50.00 per term. You can set up your payments to come out of your checking account (no additional fees) or with a credit/debit card (a processing fee of 2.75% will be applied).
Students may set up the payment plan by logging into my.OKWU.edu
- Click on Student
- Click on Billing
- Click on Payment Center (on left hand side of the screen)
- A new window will open
- Click on Payment Plan under the logo
- Click on Enroll in a new plan

Parent PLUS Loan
This loan is an option to any parent. The loan process does require a credit check and an application to be completed by the parent. The application can be found at https://studentaid.gov/plus-app/parent/landing. There are two types of applications; it is important that your parent choose: “Apply for a Parent PLUS Loan.” The loan can be set up so payments are not due until the student graduates or leaves school. If the application is denied, your parent can submit an Appeal or find an Endorser. Our office will help you throughout this process if you ever have any questions.
Private Loans
There are multiple lending companies that provide Private Student Loans. They have different interest rates and products offered, so be sure to inquire at your local financial institutions as well as search online for a lending company. We do not provide a preferred lender list, but we recommend you choose a company with a recognizable name.

Other Scholarships
Make sure you do not overlook any potential scholarships. There are several online sites that will help you find scholarship opportunities. Check with your parents’ employers, local organizations, tribal education benefits, etc. It is worth the time to research and see if you are eligible for those funds. Avoid scholarships that require you to pay to apply.
