- BSN to DNP: Bachelor-prepared nurses can earn their DNP, specializing in Nursing Administration, Nursing Education, or Informatics.
- Post-Masters DNP: Advance practice nurses, nurse informaticists, nurse educators, nurse administrators, and other
masters prepared nurse can earn their DNP in Executive Leadership. BSN prepared nurses with a master’s degree
in another area may qualify for this track as well.
Implementation science

Personal, Professional, and Leadership Development
This course provides a study of the various faucets of leadership development and change practice theories. Students will employ effective communication and collaborative skills in the development and implementation of practice change models. In addition, students will employ consultative and leadership skills from a multi-disciplinary approach to create change in complex healthcare delivery systems. This course enhances students’ skills in becoming self-leaders, transformational leaders, innovative educators, and advanced level clinical practitioners. Focus is placed on improving quality and safety methods, performance measures, evaluation tools, and standards of care.
Population Health
This course explores initiatives aimed to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable populations from a local and global perspective. Students will examine clinical prevention and population health to address vulnerability, improve outcomes, and identify gaps in care through their expertise as educators, practitioners, researchers, and/ or policy advocates.
Interprofessional Leadership of Excellence in Practice, Policy, and Ethics
This course offers the skills to design, implement, and advocate for healthcare policy that addresses issues of social justice and equity in healthcare. Students will secure an understanding of how to design, influence, and implement healthcare policies that frame healthcare financing, practice regulation, access, safety, and efficacy.

CLINICAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCES
Indirect and direct practice experiences take the place of the traditional clinical rotation learning experience in the DNP program. These integrative practice-focused learning experiences are imbedded in courses and allow students to apply, integrate, and synthesize knowledge and practice at the highest level of nursing practice . Direct clinical practice experiences are completed in the final 3 courses with the implementation of a quality improvement project. Student may transfer up to 500 hours clinical practice hours from there master’s degree program. Student may also obtain additional practice experiences through professional nursing activities that align with the courses learning objectives. Completion of these hours are flexible and are be designed to work around the students’ personal schedule.
